WHAT IS JGP?
It all started in 2015 as a crowdfunding campaign.
The Just Girl Project is dedicated to empowering girls through creative expression in art, music, videos, and illustration. This vibrant initiative fosters a supportive community where participants can explore personal growth, self-esteem, and emotional wellness. Additionally, the project collaborates with various brands to expand its reach and impact, enhancing its ability to support and inspire its audience effectively. What started as a crowdfunding campaign blossomed into a global movement, including an album, music videos, podcast, blog, weekly newsletter, online retail store, three published books with Penguin Random House, prestigious partnerships, and collaborations ranging from sexual wellness and mental health to retail and women’s health. Our goal was to build a hyper engaged community by creating inspirational content that touched on important topics, like mental health, body image, acceptance—a platform that resonated with girls everywhere.
As we grew, other ventures were formed. We used our social to drive traffic to ALL of it. The key was to convert community into customers, while still staying true to the brand’s voice.
